Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Who this policy covers

This page is maintained by RoughCut Automations to explain, in plain language, what happens to information you share with this site. It describes current practices — it is not a certification or an independent audit.

Questions or requests: support@roughcutautomation.com.

What we collect

This site is a static marketing site. There is no account system, no login, and no form on the site that stores your data.

  • Information you send us directly — if you email support@roughcutautomation.com, we receive whatever you choose to include.
  • Information you give when booking a call — scheduling happens on Calendly, which collects your name, email, and any answers you provide under its own privacy policy.
  • Standard server logs — our hosting provider processes technical request data (IP address, user agent, requested page) to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

What we do not do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not run advertising trackers, and the site sets no analytics or marketing cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request needed to deliver the font files.

Why we use it

Only to reply to you, to hold the call you booked, to keep the site running and secure, and to meet legal obligations. If we ever want to email you marketing, we will ask for your express consent first and every message will include an unsubscribe link and our contact details.

How long we keep it

Email correspondence and enquiry notes: kept while the conversation is active and for 12 months afterwards, then deleted. Server logs: kept for the short window our hosting provider retains them for security and diagnostics. We keep the minimum needed and nothing more.

Where it goes

We use a small number of service providers to operate the site and our correspondence: our website host, our email provider, and Calendly for scheduling. Some of these process data outside your country. We share information with them only as needed to provide the service, and with authorities where the law requires it.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between your browser and the site is encrypted in transit, and data held by our providers is encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we do not promise that a breach can never happen — if one occurs and affects you, we will notify you and the relevant regulator as required by law.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@roughcutautomation.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your local privacy regulator.

Children

This site is meant for business use and is not directed at children.

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and change the date above.
